Like a secret garden....romance, quiet, comfortable. Incredible 17 th century restored manor house in the heart of Monterrei wine trail. Romantic inside and out with luxurious details befitting a 5 star top-end bed and breakfast. Exquisitely decorated. No detail left to chance, even the thick floor mat at the foot of the claw foot tub were very much appreciated. Bottom floor is a beautiful original wine Celler transformed into a soon to be open lovely, spacious, restaurant with soft ambient lighting against the original stone walls makeing for a cozy environment to enjoy a wonderful meal. The Gardens in back with it's fountain, original stone walls, well, adorable little stone chapel, and original stone walkways draped in grape wines and roses growing overhead on pergolas make you feel your on a stroll of romance. Owner also set up a local wine tasting for us which was fabulous. It's also walking distance to lovely pub near by and is on a beautiful cobblestone street full of old manor houses from tbe same era. Birds sing outside in the morning and bathe in the fountain. Just lovely. Nice touch.
